Step classes are an aerobic and muscular training performed on a platform (step) to the sound of music. It consists of a series of exercises conducted by an instructor. Step practice provides an improvement on aerobic resistance, physical strength and flexibility. The choreographed part of the step class involves an improvement on coordination and responsiveness, as well as stimulating memory and concentration.
